This used to be my dining room, but we had to reconfigure our living areas, so this is a much smaller space than we used to have. Click on the individual photos for a closer view.
Living Room View
Forgot to number the large picture on left, it was $10 at HES, I just need to finish painting the frame white.
TV cabinet is about 12 years old, I painted it white about 5 years ago. Originally $129.
Basket & Quilt - basket was $7 and it's filled with kids books, quilt from MIL.
Curtains in the windows are from Ikea, about $30 for all.

Desk View in Living Room
Teapot on desk was $7.99 but I had to move it and the glass jars so the baby wouldn't break them. This is also a better shot of our fake paneling.
Main View A
1. Coral plates - plastic plates from Homegoods 1.99 each
2. Sectional couch - recently purchased from Ikea for $899, but they gave us a gift card for $150, so I didn't feel so bad about spending the money. With gift card I purchased the slipcover you see here. My other one is lovely and white.
3. Ottoman is old...about 11 years...$0, rug from Homegoods $29, ruffle from baby crib $0, white blanket from the as-is section at Ikea for $10, tray was $7.99 from Target about 5 yrs. ago, various books, shell was free, and the "frog" was $4.95 from a thrift store.
4. Lamp - a converted oil lamp w/ shade I got at Hughes Estate Sales (HES) for $20 (adore it!)
5. White folding chair from Homegoods for $17 (reg. $79! who pays that?)
6. Great cottage sketch in gold frame - HES $18
7. Pillows - orange was free, aqua & brown were $8 for two each at Homegoods.
8. Aqua beach sign was $12.99 from Homegoods, shelf it's sitting on is from Ikea for $6. The orange fish tile above it was a gift.
9. Not sure what these are called, pelmets? but we recycled from someone else's house, so free.
10. Vanity desk from my mom, she paid $75, I just painted it aqua for $4.
11. This is to point out the wall paneling, it's fake! We made it ourselves, about $40 for entire room. (Saw how to do it on Changing Rooms).
12. Flooring throughout is from Ikea for $1.29 a squarefoot.

Mrs. Limestone, sorry I forgot to say where the white table was from, I added it now. It was from Homegoods for $59 (but I used my gift card).
ReplyDeleteAlso, the white paint color is called Calla Lily from Behr and it's semi-gloss.
I made up the pale aqua color myself.
That is a great wall color! You have a very pretty beachy vibe going on, and I love it! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

ReplyDeleteLove the room! Everything looks so cool and calm. Do you like your Ikea floor? Is it wearing well?
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty room! I love it!
ReplyDeleteNice job on that teeny tiny living space! We'd love to do that fake paneling too one day. I love your perspective.
ReplyDeleteI was worried about the Ikea flooring when we first got it, but we were and are on such a tight budget that we did it anyway. It has been really good, even better than real wood I think. I don't worry about spills at all. And I have moved a lot of furniture around on it and scuffed it and then I mop it off. Sometimes I have to get on my knees and scrub, but it still comes off. There are a few chips, but that was from when we installed it. It looks as good now as it did when we installed in four + years ago!
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful- I think it feels cosy and very liveable. Thanks for sharing.
