A before and after party at:
My mom bought this desk for me at a garage sale, and it was a dark reddish brown wood, and it's potential was hidden behind that gloom. I immediately pulled out the white spray paint.
Six years later I realized I was getting bored with all the white furniture everywhere and decided I love aqua. After getting several tester pots from Lowe's of different shades and hues I tried one that was just a bit to saturated and green. I painted it at six in the morning before the kids woke up. I must've been asleep too.
That afternoon I realized that it was UGLY! I pulled out another pot of paint and - VOILA! My new desk was born.
This piece has been a favorite with us and I get lots of positive comments on it. Who knows what its next color potential will be!?

ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! Love the color. Isn't it great when you have pieces like that you can just paint a different color and change the whole feel of the room?

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the aqua color (the second one) with the white handles and top. Beautiful! And it looks great in your room. You should post it to my Furniture Feature Friday link party this Friday (shameful plug.) I've signed up to be a follower and I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
