Easy July 4th Dessert

A few years ago Martha Stewart had a cute idea to make cookie spoons...here I have adapted it slightly...as shortbread spoons to eat little bowls of red, white, and blue dessert made from vanilla ice cream, raspberry sorbet (a perfect combo btw) and sprinkled with blueberries for a shot of blue.
To make the cookies, I made my shortbread recipe and free-hand cut out spoon shapes. Place carefully on baking sheet and bake as directed. They have to cool completely to be strong enough to spoon ice cream into a kid's mouth...plus you'll have to make extras. It's difficult to eat ice cream with a cookie spoon...well, not that difficult. Yum!  Get creative and make forks and knives too...the kids will love it!
