Send Help S.O.S.

I continue to wrestle with sleep deprivation. If I can get 5 hours in a row then I am fully functional during the day and don't lose my temper etc. When I get interrupted sleep all night, then I wake up groggy and annoyed and just want to sleep the rest of the day. Doug and I are trying to figure out how to get these girls to sleep, besides letting them cry all night, so we can get some rest. I also have to deal with his snoring, knuckle and knee cracking, and heavy breathing all night. There is a solution, which would be separate rooms in another wing of our mansion. Ha ha.
When you get to the breaking point you are willing to try anything. So if anyone out there has some ideas that worked for you, please let me know. Holland has severe eczema on her hands and feet that cause her to be restless and sleep lightly, and Darcy is only 8 months old, likes to get a bottle or nums around 1:30 a.m. (on the dot) and then wakes up at 5:30 a.m. to play for about an hour, then sleep again from 7-9 a.m. Strange schedule I'll admit! Help!

  1. Oh boy, the sleep deprivation thing is a killer. I have the same problem with Ted being a snorer/heavy breather and sometimes even earplugs and white noise don't help. In that case, one of us sleeps on the couch. I felt bad about that for a while until our German friend was saying that this is just the logical solution, that Germans do that all the time, that practically--we HAVE TO sleep, so you do watcha gotta do.
