Waiting for bagels

Every time I want to write something here the girls start fighting over the Yo Gabba Gabba toys, or they start chasing eachother and someone falls over, or gets scratched, or a book hits one of them in the head. That's exactly what just happened this morning.
I'm enjoying today though. Saturdays are great! Sundays are better of course. Today across the street is the infamous Hughes Estate Sale of the month. I got some good stuff there last time. I might have to go over there later. Tomorrow after noon it'll all be 80 percent OFF!

I also had my first homemade coffee of the week. I'm still sipping it. I've been too icky to drink coffee. Doug has taken Kathryne to take her SAT at Maranatha and then is going to Noah's to get us some bagels. Yum! Fresh bagels and strawberry cream cheese. Heavenly!
It's so crisp and cold outside, and green. The rain helped a lot. I am really loving the porch/deck these days. Doug did a great job building the overhang. I'll have to post a picture.

I just finished reading Rolf's posting from www.rudysbeat.wordpress.com
He mentioned about being grateful for being in their own problems, not wanting a worse place (such as a child dying etc.). It makes me glad that I have my little problems, such as no sleep, children that don't sleep, financial worries, and a few more. But these are so incomparable to my friends with their little boy in the hospital, or those I don't know who can't feed their kids and on and on. They seem so big when we are in the middle of them. My girls are healthy even if they don't sleep.
Anyway, I'm going to go sit on my porch and watch people go buy stuff at the sale and wait for my bagels. There's a lot to do today, so I have to enjoy the lull for the moment.
