Flying into the heat of it.

Hi Friends,
So sorry I haven't been able to post...it's been a bit chaotic here and I haven't been sleeping much. Basically a zombie walking around in my skin.
Now I'm going to fly to New Orleans to see my grandmother who is in the hospital. My dad is going with me. We don't really know the situation, but it's a good thing we're going. Just in case I don't make it to see her, I'm hoping for a chance to say goodbye and tell her how much I love her and how much she's meant in my life. I haven't had another grandmother (my mom's mom died before I was born), and she's been my main grandparent my whole life. Grandma is a true southern belle, but also a farmer's wife, a great cook, a debutante, a voice of wisdom, a beautiful seamstress, and many other things that are too numerous to name here.
I'll try to post while I'm gone, but don't know what kind of internet access I'll find, maybe have to go to Starbucks or something. (Do they have that in Hammond, LA?)
It's going to be hot down there. And I'm going to miss my baby girls so much. They're going to be freaking out without me!

  2. Sarah. My prayers will be with you and your family as you spend time with your grandmother. She sounds like a very special lady and she is very fortunate to have you and your father with her at this time. God Bless.
